The University of Eastern Pangasinan (UEP) has signed a MOA with the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) for its first externally funded research project, titled โPatterns and Effects of Parental Guidance on Sexuality and Reproductive Health Concerns among Children of OFW Families.โ Led by the Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension office under Dr. Jeofrey B. Abalos, the study examines parent-child communication on reproductive health and sets the foundation for UEPโs future research endeavors.
The Center for Pangasinan Studies (CPS) led a benchmarking visit to UP Diliman and UP Los Baรฑos on July 3โ4, 2025, with UEP representatives joining to explore research, publication, and extension best practices. The two-day activity featured discussions on faculty incentives, collaborative programs, and global partnerships, highlighted by presentations from key UPLB offices and a talk by Balik Scientist Dr. Elemer Mojica. The University of Eastern Pangasinan (UEP) successfully held its first International Research Conference on March 18, 2025, highlighting innovation, technology, business, and education under the theme โLeveraging Empirical Research to Promote Societyโs Well-being and Foster International Understanding.โ The event featured keynote speaker Dr. Dahlia Simangan from Hiroshima University and showcased outstanding research presentations, with Mr. Glen S.
